Stoneweg and Planzer announce a long-term partnership for the lease of the DNK1 building in Däniken.
Located in the canton of Solothurn and owned by Varia Swiss Realtech Properties (VSRP), the joint venture between Stoneweg and Decalia, the nearly 50,000m2 building will soon become Planzer’s new logistics hub in this region of north-eastern Switzerland.
The building, originally a Swiss Post site, was acquired by VSRP in 2020 as a “Sale and Leaseback” from its current tenant, Meier Tobler, who will vacate the premises on 31 December 2023. Planzer will then move in on 1 January 2024.
DNK1 is ideally located between the railways and the cantonal road on the east-west axis of the country and offers 35 loading docks and large storage capacities.
W+P Weber und Partner AG, a leading company in the field of logistics planning and industrial construction, accompanied Stoneweg from the acquisition to the repositioning of the building.
Christian Vagli, Head of Logistics Central Region at Planzer, said: “We are very pleased that we were able to reach an agreement with Stoneweg regarding the lease of DNK1. The location of the building, its access to various transport infrastructures and its size make it particularly interesting for the development of our activities in the region.”
“Planzer’s arrival in the region is excellent and welcome news for Däniken, both in terms of employment and economic dynamism. For our municipality, it has always been a priority to ensure that this extremely important object for Däniken can continue to be used in the most efficient way possible. The cooperation with Stoneweg has been very pleasant, transparent and efficient from the very beginning,” said Matthias Suter, President of Däniken.
Diana Oblak, Managing Director of Stoneweg Switzerland, adds: “As owner and lessor, we are very pleased to have a company like Planzer as a tenant, whose reputation is well established and whose activities are perfectly suited to this asset. We look forward to a long term partnership.“
